Captain Dave’s Bad Boys Beach Bar is a cool, open-air bar/restaurant on the beach between 2nd and 4th (closer to the ferry boats). Every Thursday and Saturday they have the band, Nasty Boys, playing a mix of country, Jimmy Buffet, Eagles, and old time Rock ‘n Roll. If you are over 40 you’ll love it. They play from either 4- 8 or 5-9 and have smoked chicken and ribs. We heard the food is good.
Alux is a restaurant, bar, and lounge reiterating Playa’s clubbing and cuisine schemes. Everything revolves around a cave as an experience of descent into the underworld, livened up by a thousand colored lights filtering and vanishing among millenary stalactites. Alux is territory to a most diverse crowd.
